This connector is compact RF solution for rugged applications. It is a Flange Mounted connector, with a square 25mm flange with four mounting holes. This allows for a solid mechanical fixation to the front panel of cases, or to use in bulkheads or custom housings. Once installed, the connector is fixed rigidly in place which helps to keep the alignment of the connector correct, and also helps to stop unwanted stress on the connector-cable joint. The connector is a Female N-type connector, which means that it will connect to a Male N-type plug. The N-type connector has a threaded collar, which screw together to provide a strong and repeatable connection. The N-type connector is also highly resistant to vibration and shock. The square flange format is ideal for small panels, or for mounting in a grid pattern on a panel. The four holes in the flange provide even distribution of the torque when tightening the screws to the panel, which helps to stop the panel warping or coming loose due to thermal expansion/contraction or other mechanical stress.
