This N female Crimp for LMR400 Cable connector is for installers and the RF enthusiast who wants a rugged, low loss connector for 0.405" OD coax cables like LMR-400, RG-8 and similar cables. This N female Crimp for LMR400 Cable connector has a 50 Ohm impedance and is suitable for WiFi, wireless backhaul, amateur radio, test equipment and general communications. The connector body is made from high quality metal that has been machined and has corrosion resistant plating. This N female Crimp for LMR400 Cable connector has a threaded N-type female interface that allows for secure and vibration resistant connections to male N type plugs. This is ideal for use with outdoor antennas, tower runs and equipment jumpers where high reliability is required. Easy to install for anyone familiar with coax connectors. Slide ferrule over cable then strip outer jacket and dielectric, flare braid, attach and crimp (and solder if desired) center pin to conductor, seat connector body of connector then crimp ferrule over braid and jacket. When installed properly with correct tools, provides a strong mechanical bond and low signal loss with minimum reflection. Crimp style connectors are ideal for production cable assemblies as well as field repairs.
