The M12 4Pin Female Connector D-Coded is suited for engineers and technicians to connect up a compact reliable Ethernet connection in demanding industrial environments. The D-coded variant is part of the well-proven M12 connection family and allows for 100 Mbps data transfer with the 100 Base-TX standard. Thus the M12 connector is perfectly suited for industrial Ethernet and for fieldbuses. The clear pin assignment of the 4-pin D-coded connection allows very fast and error-free wire-up. There is less time needed for commissioning and there is less risk for mis-mating of plugs and sockets. The connection is closed with the well-proven M12 screw lock. This type of connection is very vibration resistant and is protected against dust and moisture. For installation on machines, on conveyors or on mobile equipment the M12 connection is perfectly suited. When a housing is mounted in a control cabinet, on a machine or on a conveyor, the connection remains in place. Only a firm mechanical grip remains, which does not get loose during operation. This has a positive effect on signal quality and it prevents early failure. The connectors are designed for use in industry and can withstand tough environment. They are resistant to dust, to water and to the wear and tear of daily use. Also sealing rings and cable housings are available. This allows to connect up cables to M12 connectors which are to be used in wet environments or in harsh industrial environments. The rugged connector is used in systems that are to be installed in the vicinity of production lines, packaging machines, robots, and control cabinets. The very compact housing allows for a space-saving design and is therefore optimal for panel mounting in areas where there is a lack of space. M12 connectors are also very well-suited for multiple-connection applications where several connections have to be assembled in a very small area. This 4Pin Female Connector D-Coded M12 connection is designed for use with new installations and for retro-fitting Ethernet connections to older systems. Thus the connection facilitates future-proof Ethernet communication in the field in accordance with industry standards. Field devices, such as sensors and actuators, as well as fieldbus and Ethernet connections can be wired up to the 4-pin D-coded Female Connector M12 using compatible M12-D-coded male connectors, Ethernet patch cords and other I/O-connections. For the engineering and the planning of installations this connector offers the optimal combination of small space requirements, of vibration-resistant connection and of high data transfer capacity.
